Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.

Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.

St Patricks Catholic Primary School Mortlake Learning and AchievementSt Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Mortlake celebrates the learning achievements of our students across all subject areas. Children participate in a range of experiences that can be academic, artistic, school based, sports focused or organised by our local council.

We celebrate achievements weekly at our assemblies as we acknowledge children who achieve in the classroom with our School Award or use their values correctly in our Charity Award.

Children can participate in:

  • NAPLAN, Australian Writing Competition, Premier’s Reading Challenge and our University Competitions in Science, Mathematics and English.
  • Sydney Catholic Schools competitions in Art, participation in Music and Choral productions, Visual Arts in the Yearly Art competition at St Mary’s Cathedral, school band.
  • Sports carnivals, zone swimming carnivals, representative sport and local sports achievements.

A special congratulations to one of our students who won an art competition run by Canada Bay Council and now has his artwork permanently placed in a local park.
