Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.

Our school provides wonderful opportunities for students, staff, parents, and carers to know, love, and share a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith. This is carried out via the religious life of our school, including our community experience, a full liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, and social outreach activities, all in close collaboration with our Parish.

At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Mortlake, our students are guided and supported to gain a rich understanding of our faith and build a strong relationship with God through participation in prayer, exploration of the Scriptures, and living out Catholic social teachings in various ways. We have class Masses and prayer services with parent involvement and individual confession for Years 3–6. Our Family and Faith Educator regularly supports and communicates with our parents and carers through initiatives like Playgroup and Toddler Tales, Blessing Meals, Camp Cooinda, and parent workshops.

We work closely to guide and inspire students in their preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation.  Additionally, students in Years 3–6 are given opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We also engage in outreach activities such as fundraising for Caritas Australia, Jesuit Refugee Services, St Vincent de Paul, Charitable Works Fund, and Catholic Mission.
